Proofreading is your last check before publishing
Now your novel is ready for a final polish. It's like a literary quality control to make sure that no niggling errors have been introduced during previous rounds of editing. You’ll have a book that’s ready for self-publishing or submitting to an agent, depending on the route you want to take.
At this stage, I'll be checking:

consistencies in spelling, hyphenation and capitalisation
I will be using Deborah's services again
